Ugandan community receives life changing help

A donation of 16 water filters have made a positive impact in the Najja sub county of Uganda, allowing access to safe, clean drinking water.

The filters, which were funded from Grifaid donations and transported by Rob Hoy of the Littlestone Trust, were give to local charity Life in Abundance and have been distributed to 8 partner churches. The feedback highlights how noticeable the reduction in water-related illnesses and disease affecting the community has been.

Pastor Magezi Silver from Koko Pentecostal church in Buikwe Najja had this to say: “Water is such an essential part of our daily lives that many times we do not stop to consider where it’s being sourced or the quality of it. I would like to thank LIA International Uganda for supporting us with water filters that has enable me and my family have access to safe clean drinking water.”

Joan Milka from Kawuna Church has also commented on the support received and impact of the filters, which are used to support their children’s programme. By using efficient filtration system, Joan is no longer reliant on boiling water and is able to cope with the demands of an ever growing group.

We are pleased to see the positive impact our filters have had and look forward to developing our partnership even further.
